Below you will find a list of sites
which offer free text creation utilities. Each site on the
list has been reviewed by myself, and they are sorted starting
with the best ratings (out of 5). I will never post a site
which I have not manually visited to verified its quality.

| Probably the
first popular online text generator is still going strong!
CoolText.COM allows you to create attractive looking
logos or buttons with a few clicks, and no image editting
skills required! For the logos, you can choose from
over 20 preset styles, and also have the ability to
customize the font, color, size, etc... Buttons have
similar options. Best of all, its free and there are
no pop-ups! |

| FlamingText.COM
has TWO pop-ups which appear on each page, and is certainly
a lot more 'busy' than CoolText.COM. However, it features
some unique items such as the ability 'light your name
on fire'. Also, there are thousands of free buttons
and other utilties each of which is customizable from
within the site. So, if you can overcome the pop-ups
and ads around the site, it pays off in the end! |

| This is a pretty
nifty web-tool which allows you to create 3D-appearing
text. THe text is very fancy when generated and would
be a quick way to create a nice logo for any personal
use. You can select from a variety of fonts, colors,
and sizes. The preview is generating almost instantly,
and you can always modify the settings to get the effect
you like. |

| This is a fantastic
little web utility which allows you to create gradient
colors out of any text you enter. The code is generated
right away and can be pasted into and document that
supports HTML formatting. The tool has a variety of
presets, such as 'rainbow', 'flame', and 'scary'. You
can also see a preview of the text at any time. |

| This site allows
you to create menus and navigation systems for sites
(or ads) that look real fancy at the end. You simply
enter the various links you want displayed, and a few
other options, and the site automatically generates
fully animated buttons customized to your liking. There
are dozens of styles to select from. The only drawback
is that in free mode, a small ad to their site is added
to the bottom of your navigation bar. |

| Here's a fantastic
tool if you want to create 3D animated logos. You walk
through a variety of steps while customizing the animation,
then click generate and a GIF of the animation will
be generated and can then be saved to your comptuer. |

the TextColorizer, this tool allows you to create gradients
for text you enter. The difference is that this tool
allows you to select up to twelve different colors for
the text to transition into, so you can get some really
colorful effects. You will need to use the HEX color
chart to get the colors you desire, as the tool only
accepts HEX values. |

need to make a banner in a hurry, this site will help
you do it. You simply fill out the required forms pertaining
to the information you want displayed in the banner,
select a background from a large collection of presets
(or you can use your own), and then generate the banner.
Using this tool you can also create a matching button
or logo. Registration is required but is fast and free. |

easiest rainbow text generator I have come across. You
simply enter the text you wish to make rainbowed, select
how many rainbows you want to appear within the text,
and then hit the submit button. The generated code appears
on the right, and you can copy and paste it to use it
in your own projects. |

the text section of Dynamic Drive, which features many
dynamic effects that somehow distort or present text
in a non-standard way. Some example scripts include
roller-coaster text, fly-away text, etc.. Not all of
these will work properly when pasted into ads for eBay
or viewed with a browser other than Internet Explorer,
although many will work fine. |

the Dynamic Drive text effects, this page has several
text effects achieved through JavaScript. You can generate
cool-looking ASCII text for logos etc., display text
in a backwards format, etc... No pop-ups! |

| This tool is
a crude version of the other banner creator
found on this site. What I mean by this, is that it
is a bit more complex to create a banner. You can select
from a large variety of fonts and styles, and choose
from a variety of animations (up to 6 different sequences).
You can't have background images etc., but for a standard
banner it will get the job done! |
