Below you will find a list of sites
which offer free fonts and symbols. Each site on the list
has been reviewed by myself, and they are sorted starting
with the best ratings (out of 5). I will never post a site
which I have not manually visited to verified its quality.
To visit any site on the list, simply click on the site title
(link) and the page will open in a new window. Simply close
the new window to be returned to this page.

| Here's another
excellent font site, with the fonts organized into a
sections of almost 40 categories. Simply select the
category you wish to view, and font previews of each
font that matches the category description will be displayed.
Click any of them to start downloading! There are is
one pop-up on exit, and the ads sometimes get mixed
in with the actual content. |

| FontFile has
a very clean interface and layout, no pop-ups, and the
fonts are organized by category and alphabetically.
When you visit a certain section, ten fonts are shown
(previewed) per page with visible buttons for further
navigation. You can either download the file immediately,
or tell the site to e-mail you that particular font.
I have had difficulties downloading and e-mailing fonts
in the past, but when it works, the site does very well. |

| This site offers
a large collection of free and shareware fonts. Most
of the fonts are unique and high-quality. A complete
preview of each font is available, and you can download
them in one click. The free fonts are seperated from
the commecial fonts, and the site has a very fast and
easy-to-navigate design. |

| As you might
know by now if you've visited some of the other resource
sections, GRSites.COM has a lot of material available!
Their recently added 'Font' section now includes over
6,800 fonts free for download. There's still a pop-up
on each page, and the fonts are listed only alphabetically
and not by type or category. Still, there are many fonts
available and they all can be seen and downloaded in
a quick and easy manner. |

| As the name
suggests, this site claims to have over 1000 free fonts
available for download. Like GRSites, the fonts are
only organized by letter and not by type. There is one
pop-up on the initial page, and if you just minimize
it instead of closing it, it will not re-appear. There
may also be a pop-up upon exiting the site. |

| Font Paradise
is the first website that allows you to download and
install the fonts all from directly within the browser,
no manual work required. In order to utilize this new
technology, you will need to download a small utility.
There are no pop-ups, and the fonts are arranged by
category and alphabetical. |

| This is a rather
neatly design site, but the fonts are only listed in
alphabetical order. There are generally several pages
of fonts for each letter, and around 50 fonts per page.
Due to the content, the pages sometimes take awhile
to load completely. |

| This site offers
a variety of free and commercial fonts. The link above
takes you directly to the free fonts page, and you can
navigate through all of the free fonts by using the
'Previous' and 'Next' buttons at the bottom of each
page. Click the links below each font preview to download
the file to your computer. |

| This site has
a variety of artistic fonts, all available for free.
There is virtually no categorization of the fonts, you
simply view page after page of fonts until you like
one, then click it to download it. To get started, click
on the 'PC Fonts' button on the left navigation bar. |

| One rather
unique feature with High Fonts is that you can perform
a search for a particular font, and fonts related to
your search will be returned. It also shows the last
few successful searches, etc... You can sort the fonts
by the top 100 downloaded, or alphabetically. There
are pop-ups from time-to-time, but there are enough
fonts to make it worthwhile. |

| This site has
pop-ups, and tries to get you to install some Spyware
on your PC. The fonts are only categorized alphabetically,
and there aren't very many all together when compared
with other more user-friendly sites. I'd only check
here if you still haven't found the right font after
visitting all friendlier sites :) |
